FOUNDER

RODRIGO GUTIERREZ

Corialent

12 years ago, Rodrigo decided that the Coca Colas of the world shouldn’t be the only ones who get to have all the fun in the advertising industry. He was sick of all the dull, corporate, navy blue and white B2B work out there. Business people are people too. Corialent specializes in B2B marketing that doesn’t suck. And they want to get the rest of the industry drinking that delicious KoolAid.

Presentation Training

Presentation Training is very important because the ability to convey effectively and also with great impact is amongst the most valuable personal attributes in the modern world today. Each week at Mindful Presentation have the pleasure of engaging with some of today's biggest, most influential and successful brands in the business. I am talking about Google, Apple, Nike, eBay, JVZoo, Yahoo, and a host of others. And I will not mention any further names for this particular article as it would be spoilt for you would only be reading about presentation training! But there is more to this article and that is that Mindful Presentation offers not only training in presentations, but also in design too.

Presentations training focuses on presenting to your audience in a way that causes them to remember and reflect back to their own lives. This can be done in many ways and is achieved through a number of different techniques, some of which may even seem obvious to you. For instance by using eye contact, some people will look at you or even lean in towards you. Some organisations like the British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) have devised a theory of conducting presentations that creates a connection between the presenter, their image and the environment in which they are presenting.

In essence what this means is that you develop your communication skills in relation to the presenter and in turn, you build up your presentation skills. Of course, all these things come hand in hand and the more skill you have in relation to the particular mediums in which you communicate, the more powerful you become in terms of communication. It is this skill set that forms the foundation upon which your brand new brand will grow and flourish. Presentation Training is therefore absolutely essential if you want to ensure that your brand image develops and excel beyond your expectations.

The reason for the need for Presentation Training is rather obvious. If you are a budding entrepreneur wanting to climb up the corporate ladder and get yourself known as an industry leader, then you need to have the ability to deliver effective presentations. Presentations are the key to success. No matter how brilliant and creative your ideas or presentations are, unless they are delivered in a captivating, effective manner, you are unlikely to attract an audience of anyone who will be interested in what you have to say. This is where having good communication skills and techniques is going to be essential. Without these you are really going to hit the ground running with your business success not the result of your ideas on which you base your presentations.

When it comes to speaking, your communication skills and presentation skills are not only going to help you to speak persuasively, you are also going to help to keep your listeners interested in what you have to say. You are not going to be able to draw people in to a discussion or a presentation based solely on the content of your words. It is essential that you put forward something interesting that people want to hear. After all, if they do not see something interesting in what you say, they will not be able to remember it or be able to relate to it. The whole point is that you have to make them want to hear what you have to say.

It is important to be aware, however, that even the best communicators often fail at some point because they do not understand their audience or they simply do not have good presentation skills. There are many different areas you can improve and hone when it comes to the way you deliver a presentation. The first thing to consider is the way you prepare for your presentation. For example, are you doing a one-on-one interview with a potential client? If so, this is something you should include in your presentation skills training curriculum vitae. You will need to know how to effectively convey your message to a prospective client, which means that you need to practice conducting business interviews and giving presentations.

You also need to consider the type of audience you are going to address. Do you need to appeal to a large audience or one that is smaller? These are things that you should include in your presentation skills training because you need to recognize what type of audience you will be addressing and be prepared for it. When you go to a corporate or professional meeting with a business partner, for instance, you might want to keep your audience in mind. You would not want to over-tech your presentation unless you are dealing with corporate executives.

Your ability to present professionally also needs to take into account the demographics of your audience. There are some audiences that respond more enthusiastically to certain types of presentations than others do. For example, you might be better off using PowerPoint to show a presentation to an audience that may not be familiar with it. On the other hand, if you are trying to reach out to a more diverse group of people, you should use other presentation training programs to achieve business success. It is important that you take all of these factors into consideration when planning your presentation training programs to ensure that you have prepared yourself for any number of audiences that may come through your door.
